Kaye Voyce designed this costume for Bard College’s 2018 Summerscape production of the opera Demon directed by Thaddeus Strassberger. These costumes were draped by Bethany Itterly, and created at Bethany Joy Costumes.
Two versions of this dress were made, a “wet” dress and a “dry dress. This dress in particular is the wet dress. The main part of the dress is made from a poly-brocade, the front piece is a textured satin, the belt and detailing on the bodice is a satin/lame reversed using the satin side as the face. The sleeves are a lame chiffon. The bodice is flat lined to coutil. The dress is closed with hooks and bars at the center back.
