First Hand – Athene Wright

Andrew D. Edwards designed these costumes for the Santa Fe Opera Company’s 2022 production of the Barber of Seville. These costumes were draped by Kjersten Lester-Moratzka.

This costume is made up of three dresses. The first dress is a non- quick rigged maid’s dress consisting of boned bodice, skirt, fichu, and apron. The second is a version of the Maid’s dress tear away rigged. The third dress is a heavily beaded evening gown which is revealed after the over dress is torn away.
